AF Nikkor 180mm 1:2.8 purchased new in 1987 and it still works great. It is a great lens for wildlife photography - fast and sharp. According to Ken Rockwell, this lens has the same optics as the current Nikkor AF-180mm lens and has the same performance. The DX format equivalent is approximately 270mm. The current new price is about $900.00. I am an aging hobby photographer who has to lighten my load to two lenses (24-70 and 70-200); therefore, I am selling off a few nice lenses that I have not used in a few years. This lens shows external wear due to time spent in a huge camera bag; however, the front lens has always been protected with a neutral density filter that is included in this package. -AF Nikkor 180mm 1:2.8 -built-in sunshade -Nikon script lens caps -Pro Optic CPL 72mm circular polarizing filter -Pro Optic ND2 72mm neutral density filter and case Condition is such an objective - this lens is AVERAGE in my eyes. The focus ring is noisy when turned manually; however, silent when autofocus is used.
