The Nikon AF-S FX NIKKOR 24-70mm f/2.8G ED is a professional-grade zoom lens designed for FX-format Nikon DSLRs, offering a versatile focal range and constant f/2.8 aperture for exceptional image quality.

The Nikon NIKKOR 24-70mm f/2.8G ED is a **full-frame**, **Nikon F mount** standard zoom lens designed for DSLR cameras. Its **24–70mm** focal length range covers wide-angle through short telephoto, making it adaptable across a wide range of photographic situations. The constant **f/2.8** maximum aperture remains fixed throughout the zoom range, delivering consistent exposure and dependable performance in lower light. Both **autofocus and manual focus** modes are supported, giving photographers the ability to switch between them as the situation demands. With a **77mm filter thread**, this lens works with many commonly available filters already in a photographer's kit. Weighing in at **900 grams**, it has a solid, substantial feel suited to professional use. The lens is designed for the **full-frame** sensor format but is also usable on DX-format bodies via its **Nikon F** mount connection. Note that this lens does **not include image stabilization**, which is an important consideration for handheld shooting in challenging lighting conditions.

Maintains a maximum aperture of f/2.8 across the entire 24–70mm zoom range, ensuring consistent exposure and depth of field control without adjusting settings as you zoom.

Constant f/2.8 Aperture

Covers wide-angle through short telephoto in a single lens, making it practical for portraits, events, journalism, and everyday shooting without swapping glass.

24–70mm Focal Range

Designed for Nikon FX-format sensors and fully compatible with DX-format bodies, giving it broad usability across Nikon's DSLR lineup.

Full-Frame Coverage

Fits the full range of Nikon F-mount DSLR bodies, from entry-level to professional, providing long-term compatibility with existing and older camera systems.

Nikon F Mount

Extra-low Dispersion glass elements reduce chromatic aberration for sharper, higher-contrast images across the zoom range.

ED Glass Elements

Supports both autofocus and manual focus operation, offering flexibility for fast-paced shooting as well as precise manual control when needed.

Auto and Manual Focus

Uses the widely adopted 77mm filter diameter, making it straightforward to share polarizers, ND filters, and other accessories with many other lenses.

77mm Filter Thread

Lacks optical stabilization, so handheld shooting in low light relies on the f/2.8 aperture or in-body stabilization if the paired camera body provides it.

No Image Stabilization

Weighs 900 grams with a robust construction that reflects its professional-grade design, though it adds noticeable heft to a full-frame kit.
