APO Summicron 90mm M Mount Leica Leitz Lens with front coating removed leather pouch included

90mm Summicron M APO - The front coating has been removed. I don't know anyone else who has done this. Makes it behave more like a pre-ASPH model. Lower contrast and softer but with the nicer body of the modern housing.

The 90mm is the longest focal length that makes any sense to me on the 35mm film Leicas. The APO version is crazy sharp. I did an uncommon thing and removed the front coating of the lens. This softened the look and made it lower contrast. The lighter smaller housing than a classic 90mm cron is the benefit. And 6-bit coding built into the mount if you're on a digital Leica. The lens is otherwise in great condition.

It got used so it has some barrel wear and I'm sure if you do a flashlight test you'll see some micro dust but there's no big specs and no scratches or other defects. I have the leather pouch and instruction manual for this lens. I'm not sure why you would need instructions but it's a thick little booklet haha. It has front branded Leica cap and a generic silver metal back cap.
