2. The Story: These cards were pulled from brand-new custom video production servers before the systems were ever put into service. The system integrator pre-installed these Blackmagic cards by mistake, but our studio environment required a different card ecosystem.
3. The G2 Upgrade: This card was originally a G1 model, but it has been upgraded with a BRAND NEW, official Blackmagic Design DeckLink 8K Pro HDMI 2.1 Capture Card (G2 Upgrade kit). Because the base card was never used, and the HDMI 2.1 expansion mezzanine is brand new, this card is essentially a brand-new DeckLink 8K Pro G2. This is exactly what Blackmagic sells as the "G2" variation.
