The Canon EF 8-15mm f/4L Fisheye USM Lens is a uniquely designed L-series lens, known for its capability to create both circular and full frame fisheye effects. This ultra-wide angle lens delivers extreme 180° diagonal angle of view at the 8mm end, exhibiting dynamic and spherical image results. The lens structure includes two ultra-low dispersion elements to reduce chromatic abnormalities for improved clarity and color fidelity, complemented by a Sub Wavelength coating to lessen lens flare and ghosting, thereby enhancing contrast.

The Canon EF 8-15mm f/4L USM is a versatile ultra-wide zoom lens designed for Canon EF-mount cameras, offering a fisheye perspective with a constant f/4 aperture.

The Canon EF 8-15mm f/4L Fisheye USM is a **zoom fisheye lens** covering a **focal length range of 8mm to 15mm**, designed for **full-frame** Canon **DSLR** bodies using the **Canon EF mount**. With a **maximum aperture of f/4**, the lens delivers consistent exposure control across its entire zoom range. Weighing in at **540 grams**, it strikes a reasonable balance between build quality and portability for an L-series optic. Both **autofocus and manual focus** are supported, giving photographers flexibility depending on the demands of their subject matter. There is **no image stabilization** on this lens, and **no filter thread** is specified, so traditional screw-on filters are not an option as described in the data. As a wide-angle fisheye zoom in Canon's L-series, this lens is aimed at full-frame DSLR shooters who want the creative range of a fisheye perspective with the added flexibility of a zoom focal length rather than a fixed prime. The Canon EF mount integration makes it a natural fit for photographers already working within the Canon DSLR system.

Covers circular fisheye at 8mm through to a full-frame diagonal fisheye at 15mm, offering two distinct looks within a single lens.

8-15mm Fisheye Zoom Range

Maximum aperture stays at f/4 throughout the entire zoom range, keeping exposure consistent as you adjust focal length.

Constant f/4 Aperture

Part of Canon's professional L-series lineup, featuring robust construction with fluorite and UD lens elements for optical quality.

Canon L-Series Build

Designed to cover Canon's full-frame sensors with no vignetting at 15mm; at 8mm it produces a circular fisheye image on full-frame bodies.

Full-Frame Coverage at 15mm

Ultrasonic motor delivers fast, quiet autofocus with full-time manual focus override for precise control without switching modes.

Ring-Type USM Autofocus

Fits the full range of Canon EF-mount DSLRs, and can be adapted to Canon RF mirrorless bodies using the EF-EOS R adapter.

Canon EF Mount

The protruding front element makes standard screw-on filters incompatible, though Canon offers a dedicated rear gel filter holder.

No Filter Thread

Moderate weight for an L-series fisheye zoom, making it manageable for handheld use during extended shoots.
