Super Spectra Coating

The Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8 L USM is a standard zoom lens designed for **Canon EF mount** DSLR cameras with **full-frame** sensor coverage. The zoom range runs from **24mm** at the wide end to **70mm** at the telephoto end, making it adaptable across a variety of shooting contexts. A key specification is its **constant f/2.8 maximum aperture**, which remains consistent throughout the zoom range, giving photographers reliable performance regardless of focal length choice. The lens supports both **autofocus and manual focus**, providing flexibility for different shooting styles and scenarios. Fitted with a **77mm filter thread**, it works with a wide selection of standard photographic filters. The lens weighs **950g**, which reflects its full-frame professional build. Notably, **image stabilization is not present** in this lens, so shooters requiring stabilization will need to account for this in their setup. As a **Canon EF mount** lens, it integrates into the Canon EF DSLR ecosystem.

Maintains a maximum aperture of f/2.8 across the entire zoom range, ensuring consistent exposure and depth-of-field control at any focal length.

24-70mm f/2.8 Constant Aperture

Part of Canon's professional L-series lineup, constructed to meet the durability and optical quality standards expected in demanding professional environments.

Canon L-Series Build

Designed for full-frame Canon EF mount bodies, utilizing the entire sensor area without vignetting or crop.

Full-Frame Coverage

Canon's ring-type Ultrasonic Motor delivers fast, near-silent autofocus well suited to both stills and video capture.

Ring-Type USM Autofocus

Allows manual focus adjustment at any time without switching out of autofocus mode, useful for fine-tuning focus quickly.

Full-Time Manual Focus

Accepts widely available 77mm filters, including polarizers and ND filters, compatible with many other professional lenses.

77mm Filter Thread

The 24-70mm focal range covers wide-angle, standard, and short telephoto perspectives in a single lens, reducing the need to swap glass on location.

Wide-to-Short Telephoto Range

This lens lacks optical stabilization, so handheld shooting in low light relies on technique or in-body stabilization if supported by the camera body.

No Image Stabilization

At 950g, this is a heavy lens that adds substantial weight to a camera kit, which is worth factoring in for extended handheld shooting.
