The Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM lens covers a highly preferred range, from wide to portrait-length perspectives. Its constant f/2.8 maximum aperture is beneficial for low-light performance and offers impressive control over the field depth. Enhanced with a high-precision optical layout that includes one Super UD and two UD elements, it achieves remarkable color precision and sharpness. Three aspherical elements reduce distortions for enhanced image quality. The Super Spectra coating on these elements effectively minimizes flare and ghosting to deliver vivid, contrasted results. Designed for speed, it integrates a ring-type USM and an internal focusing mechanism for swift and stealthy AF, coupled with permanent manual focus adjustment. Its durability is assured by a weather-sealed construction, complemented by a fluorine coating that protects against the harshest conditions.

The Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM is a professional-grade zoom lens offering a versatile focal length range and a constant f/2.8 aperture, suitable for various photography applications.

The Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM is a **full-frame** standard zoom lens for **Canon EF mount** DSLR cameras. Its focal length range runs from **24mm** to **70mm**, covering wide-angle through short telephoto in a single optic. A key feature is its **constant f/2.8 maximum aperture**, which holds steady throughout the entire zoom range and supports more consistent exposure and depth-of-field control as you zoom. The lens supports both **autofocus and manual focus**, providing flexibility across different shooting styles. Fitted with an **82mm filter thread**, it accommodates a broad range of screw-in filter accessories. At **805g**, the lens carries a weight that reflects its professional build quality. It is worth noting that this lens has **no image stabilization**, so shooters working in lower light handheld should plan accordingly. Designed specifically for the **Canon EF** system, it is compatible with the full range of EF mount bodies, including both full-frame and APS-C sensor DSLRs.

Covers wide-angle through short telephoto in a single lens, making it practical for events, portraits, photojournalism, and general photography.

24-70mm f/2.8L Zoom

Maintains f/2.8 across the entire zoom range, ensuring consistent exposure and depth-of-field control without compensating as you zoom.

Constant f/2.8 Aperture

Professional-grade optical construction with fluorite and UD elements to minimize chromatic aberration and deliver high contrast across the frame.

Canon L-Series Optics

Ultrasonic motor delivers fast, quiet, and accurate autofocus with full-time manual focus override without switching modes.

Ring-Type USM Autofocus

Compatible with all Canon EF mount DSLR bodies, covering both full-frame and APS-C sensor cameras.

Canon EF Mount

Dust and moisture resistance throughout the barrel makes it suitable for professional use in demanding shooting environments.

Weather-Sealed Construction

Uses 82mm screw-in filters, a common size among Canon L-series lenses, allowing filter sharing across compatible lenses.

82mm Filter Thread

Reflects the robust, all-metal construction expected of an L-series zoom, built to withstand heavy daily use.

805g Professional Build

The lens lacks optical stabilization, so handheld shooting at slower shutter speeds depends on the shooter's technique or any in-body stabilization the camera provides.

No Image Stabilization
