The lens boasts an advanced optical construction employing two aspherical elements and three elements crafted to minimize dispersion, working together to enhance sharpness, clarity, and colour fidelity across the zoom range. Anti-reflective coatings are applied to combat flare and ghosting for improved contrast in brightly lit scenarios. A stepping motor facilitates swift and discreet autofocus, while a floating element system ensures uniform image quality at varying focal distances. The lens is further enhanced with an AquaDura coating on external elements and incorporates seals to withstand challenging weather conditions.
