A versatile wide-angle lens suitable for a broad range of photography scenarios.

The Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 28mm f/1.8G is a high-performance prime lens designed for Nikon F-mount cameras, offering a wide-angle perspective ideal for various photography styles.

The Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 28mm f/1.8G is a **wide-angle prime** lens built around the **Nikon F mount** with **full-frame** coverage. Its **f/1.8 maximum aperture** makes it a capable choice when shooting in challenging light, while the fixed **28mm focal length** encourages a disciplined approach to composition. Both **autofocus and manual focus** are supported, offering flexibility across a range of shooting styles and subjects. At just **330g**, it is light enough to carry all day without fatigue. The **67mm filter thread** is compatible with a wide range of readily available filter options. Note that this lens does not include **image stabilization**, so steady shooting in low light will depend on aperture advantage and technique.

A fixed wide-angle focal length with a fast maximum aperture, ideal for low-light shooting and selective depth-of-field control.

28mm f/1.8 Prime

Covers a full-frame image circle and is compatible with the full range of Nikon F-mount DSLR bodies, including APS-C cameras.

Full-Frame Nikon F Mount

Built-in Silent Wave Motor delivers fast, quiet autofocus that is well-suited for both stills and video use.

AF-S Silent Wave Motor

Full-time manual focus override allows instant switching from autofocus without changing any camera settings.

Manual Focus Override

At just 330g, this lens is lightweight enough for comfortable all-day handheld use in street, travel, and documentary shooting.

Compact 330g Build

A widely available filter size that makes it straightforward to pair with polarizers, ND filters, and other common accessories.

Nikon's Nano Crystal Coat reduces ghosting and flare, helping maintain contrast and clarity when shooting into or near light sources.

The lens does not include optical stabilization, so low-light shooting relies on the f/1.8 aperture or any in-body stabilization the camera body provides.

A versatile wide-angle lens suitable for a broad range of photography scenarios. Sharp throughout the aperture range. I really enjoyed this lens for walks in the city. Very useful focal length. Focusing is fast on various film SLRs and DSLRs. Glass is clear of scratches, dust, fungus and oil. Few signs of use on the barrel, but overall, in excellent condition.
