The Nikon FE is a **35mm film SLR** built on the **Nikon F mount**, pairing a durable **copper-aluminum alloy body** — available in **chromed brass or black finish** — with a practical, hands-on shooting experience. It measures **142 x 89.5 x 57.5mm** and weighs **590g**, striking a balance between portability and solid construction. The **fixed eye-level pentaprism viewfinder** gives you a clear, direct view for manual composition and focusing, as the camera operates with **manual focus only**. Film sensitivity is set across an **ISO range of 12 to 4000**, meaning you can dial in everything from slow, fine-grained emulsions to higher-speed stocks for challenging light conditions. Flash shooting is supported through a **standard ISO hot shoe** and a dedicated **sync terminal**, offering flexibility for different flash setups. The camera runs on **2x SR44/LR44 or 1x CR1/3N batteries** to power its electronic functions. Note that there is **no weather sealing** and **no image stabilization**, both worth considering for your shooting environment and style.

Compatible with the vast Nikon F-mount lens ecosystem, including decades of AI, AI-S, and AF-era optics.

Nikon FM 35mm Camera Review by Ken Rockwell

Camera is in excellent working condition. Viewfinder is bright, meter is accurate compared to my app on the phone. All shutter speeds are accurate. All functions work. Body has some wear, a couple small indentations and some rub marks. Very pleasant all manual camera to use. Comes with body cap only.
