This lens delivers a broad view in a small package, ideal for landscape, street photography, and interiors, designed for full-frame cameras with an emphasis on portability for daily usage.

The Sigma 17mm f/4 DG DN Contemporary is a compact and lightweight ultra-wide-angle lens designed for mirrorless cameras. It offers exceptional optical performance with a wide field of view, making it ideal for landscapes, architecture, and travel photography.

The Sigma 17mm f/4 offers a vast angle of view packed into a small form factor, perfect for landscape enthusiasts, street photography artists, and interior and architectural photographers seeking a user-friendly and lightweight lens for regular shooting.

Ultra-Wide Compact Lens

The Sigma I Series lenses blend exceptional optics and a minimalist, elegant design suited for modern mirrorless cameras, focusing on ease-of-handling, reduced weight, and superior performance.

Sigma I Series Distinction

The Sigma 17mm F4 DG DN Contemporary is a **prime**, **ultra-wide-angle** lens purpose-built for **full-frame mirrorless** systems. Offered in **L-Mount** and **Sony E** mount options, it brings broad 17mm coverage to two of the most widely used mirrorless platforms. Tipping the scales at just **225g**, it is an impressively portable option for a full-frame prime, and the **55mm** filter thread keeps accessory costs in check. The **f/4** maximum aperture keeps the design compact and the lens accessible for landscape, interior, and street photography applications. Both **autofocus and manual focus** are supported, allowing photographers to switch seamlessly between shooting styles. It is worth noting that **image stabilization is not included**, so shooters will need to account for that when selecting a body pairing. For anyone seeking a lightweight, mount-flexible ultra-wide prime for full-frame mirrorless shooting, the Sigma 17mm F4 DG DN Contemporary is a compelling and practical choice.

Delivers an ultra-wide angle of view on full-frame sensors, well-suited for landscapes, architecture, and interiors.

17mm Full-Frame Prime

Available in both mounts, covering the major full-frame mirrorless ecosystems from Leica, Panasonic, Sigma, and Sony.

L-Mount & Sony E Compatibility

Exceptionally lightweight for a full-frame ultra-wide prime, making it practical for travel and everyday carry.

225g Compact Build

Consistent f/4 aperture across the frame keeps the optical design compact and the lens size trim.

f/4 Maximum Aperture

Native autofocus integration with compatible mirrorless bodies enables responsive shooting alongside manual focus control.

Autofocus Support

Smaller filter diameter keeps the cost of compatible ND, polarizer, and other filters manageable.

55mm Filter Thread

The lens relies on the camera body's IBIS system for stabilization, which most compatible full-frame mirrorless bodies provide.

No Image Stabilization

Part of Sigma's Contemporary lineup, prioritizing a balance of optical quality, portability, and everyday usability over maximum aperture.
