Wide-Angle Perspective

The classic build and design of the lens appeal to collectors and enthusiasts of vintage photography equipment.

Vintage Aesthetic

The Nikon W-Nikkor 3.5cm 35mm f/3.5 is a **prime** lens built for the **Rangefinder** camera system, carrying a **Nikon F** mount and covering the **full frame** format. Its **35mm** focal length places it in the standard range, making it a natural choice for general-purpose shooting in a classic form factor. With a maximum aperture of **f/3.5**, it offers a moderate light intake suited to well-lit environments. Focus is handled entirely via **manual** operation — no autofocus is present — which complements the deliberate, considered approach that rangefinder photography encourages. The lens accepts **43mm** filters, a compact thread size that reflects its trim physical profile. Tipping the scales at just **135g**, it is exceptionally light and unobtrusive. There is **no image stabilization**, in keeping with its vintage character. For those who appreciate classic Nikon optics and the rangefinder shooting experience, this lens offers a tangible connection to an earlier era of photographic craftsmanship.

A fixed 35mm focal length sits in the versatile standard range, well-suited for street, documentary, and everyday photography.

35mm f/3.5 Prime

Purpose-built for rangefinder camera systems, reflecting classic Nikon optical engineering from the mid-20th century.

Vintage Rangefinder Design

Designed to cover a full 35mm frame, making it usable on both film bodies and modern full frame digital bodies with an adapter.

Full Frame Coverage

Smooth manual focus operation pairs naturally with rangefinder shooting and deliberate, controlled focus workflows.

Manual Focus Only

Weighing just 135g, this lens adds minimal bulk to a kit and is comfortable for extended handheld use.

Compact 135g Build

A 43mm front filter thread accepts widely available, affordable filters without the need for step-up rings.

43mm Filter Thread

This lens was made for the Nikon S rangefinder system (Nikon S / Contax RF mount), not the Nikon F SLR mount. Adapters are required for use on F-mount or mirrorless bodies.
