As the quintessential lens for the ZM line-up, the Planar T* 50mm f/2 ZM in black by ZEISS is a versatile normal-length prime optimised for M-mount rangefinder cameras. This lens is revered for its traditional Planar optical configuration that ensures sharp imaging and even light distribution throughout the frame. Enhanced with the esteemed T* anti-reflective coating, it minimizes lens flare and ghosting, thus delivering improved contrast and color accuracy. The manual focus capability enables precise control, allowing for close-up shots up to 2.3 feet.

The ZEISS Planar T* 50mm f/2 ZM is a **manual-focus** prime lens designed for **Leica M mount** cameras, covering **full-frame** sensors with a standard **50mm** focal length. With a **maximum aperture of f/2**, it delivers capable low-light performance while keeping physical dimensions and weight in check — the lens tips the scales at just **230g**. The lens is also compatible with **mirrorless** camera systems that accept the Leica M mount, broadening its potential user base beyond traditional rangefinder bodies. Whether used for street work, travel, or general-purpose photography, the 50mm focal length and f/2 aperture form a versatile combination for full-frame Leica M system shooters.
